Monster Socks and Pumpkin Gloop

a Halloween day

Today was our first Halloween party of the season. Zoe decided today that she did not want to wear the adorable banana costume Nana found after she said that she really wanted to be a banana for Halloween. This morning she wanted to wear the "princess dress" that she got at the Ren Fair, and so I tossed together a Renaissance princess hat. Which was adorable. And did not get worn after minute one of the party. Which was at a duckpin bowling lane (so a bowling banana would have been AWEsome). But at least we got a picture with the hat (and her castle) at home. Somehow no pictures were taken of Leo in his pumpkin suit. Sorry about that. He will wear it again and I promise I will get a picture.
After the party we made Jack-o-lantern cookies in a cute Halloween cookie apron (thanks grandma!).

Today Leo pulled himself to standing on his own, AND climbed up the first stair of the stairway before I realized he was climbing the stairs. He had a poopy diaper. I think maybe he was headed up to change it himself. Now THAT would be a trick.
